Welcome to the Full Stop, a new beginning.
On behalf of Michael and Sarah, I’d like to warmly welcome you to our website and to The Full Stop!
About four months ago, I met Sarah through her wonderful webinar series and we talked about podcasts. I knew Michael was keen to launch something and we found out about the BBC Big C podcast award. Cue a mad rush to record a demo episode (it’s probably going to be a our embarrassing photo moment, in years to come we’ll listen and see how we’ve grown!)
We were not successful with our bid, but the submission that Sarah wrote was so good we thought we were onto something unique.
It’s easy to get carried away with tech when it comes to a podcast. How to record, what with and for us, the time zones as Michael is based in Australia. Well, we’ve ignored all of that and decided we’d go for it anyway!
Right now we’re looking at these areas:
Recording three episodes which will enable us to be listed on Apple’s podcast.
Guests - we have a list of people we’d like to invite and we’ll be contacting in person and by email.
Subjects - which we want to be timely, we’re aiming for a good mix of advice, rants and chats in a magazine style format
The length of each episode and what they’ll contain like regulars such as book reviews and events because there’s so much happening in our world, it’s hard to keep up!
Funding - how to do this and where from so we can offer some lovely rewards, do let us know if you have any thoughts on this.
In May we’ll be recording our first official episode and testing out Michael’s amazing audio skills with a special launch during World Childless Week.
